Amy Burrow began her college education at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. After meeting her husband, getting married, and moving to Longview, she later graduated from Letourneau University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management.  Amy worked in sales for many years.  She decided to take time away from her career and became a stay at home mother while her three daughters were young.

Amy later took a part time position as teacher in a Mother’s Day Out program in the Dallas area.  This was the beginning of her discovering her love of working with children.  “I immediately fell in love with being in the classroom and learning with the children.  I wholeheartedly believe my students continue to teach me as much as I teach them.”  After moving back to East Texas from a series of moves due to her husband’s job, Amy enrolled in classes and became certified to teach. Prior to coming to Bridgemark, Amy worked at the same East Texas school district for 14 years where she taught kindergarten, second grade, and fourth grade. In addition, she spent two years as a Dyslexia Interventionist serving students in third through sixth grades.

Amy currently resides in Bullard with her husband. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, working out, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  “My family is my greatest accomplishment in life.”  Amy obtained her Master’s degree in Education with a certification as a Reading Specialist.  Additionally, she completed course work through the Shelton School of Dallas and their Sequential English Education program becoming a Certified Academic Language Practitioner in order to better serve Bridgemark students.
