Regina Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2015. She then taught elementary, middle, and high school students in Tyler ISD for six years. Before becoming a classroom teacher, Ms. Cooper spent eight years working as a sign language interpreter, substitute teacher, and teaching assistant.

Ms. Cooper joined Bridgemark in the 2021–2022 school year and fully embraces the school’s mission to reignite students’ love of learning. She is dedicated to supporting learners of all ages, helping them to overcome challenges, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for and understanding of the English language.

Her professional credentials include the Texas Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) Advanced Level certification for Sign Language Interpreting, as well as certifications in American Sign Language, English as a Second Language, and Special Education. In 2023, she earned her Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) credential from the Shelton School in Dallas. She intends to pursue a master’s degree in the future.

Ms. Cooper lives with her son, Jett, and two dogs, Maisy and Connie. Outside of school, she enjoys walking, tending her flower bed, and reading.
